Intrusive Surveys
We conduct intrusive façade surveys to provide clients with a clear understanding of the existing façade and wall system, including the build-up, materials used, and potential areas of concern.
Our surveys are carried out with precision and care, ensuring minimal disruption while delivering accurate and reliable information for cladding remediation and new works.
What our surveys involve
Working with trusted access partners, our team carefully opens up small pockets within the façade to expose the underlying components, such as insulation, cavity barriers, membranes, and fixings, for detailed inspection. We record the materials discovered, measure wall build-up and cavity depths, and capture photographic evidence. Once complete, we reinstate the opening using only A-rated or client-approved materials.
All findings are compiled into a clear, detailed report, with supporting photos and measurements, and uploaded to Fieldview for easy client review.
Our intrusive surveys include:
- External Wall Insulation (EWI)
- Rainscreen systems (including brick slips and panels)
- Sheathing board
- EPDM and waterproofing at openings or interfaces
- Soffits and copings
- Brickwork
- Other areas covered upon request
