Tony Hill
Managing Director
Tony co-founded Eden Facades in 2011. Over more than four decades in the construction industry, he has gained extensive firsthand experience across every key facade solution Eden Facades offers – External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems, Steel Framing Systems (SFS), rainscreen cladding, brick-slip systems, windows and curtain walling, and cladding remediation.
Starting his career as a trainee buyer for a large building contractor, Tony progressed to become the chief buyer before going on to become a self-employed quantity surveyor. He later worked as Construction Director for a property developer. Then he spent several years consulting for SMEs in the construction sector before setting up Eden Facades in 2011 alongside business partner Paul Michaelson. These experiences equipped him with both technical knowledge and business acumen, which he now applies to running and growing the business.
Tony’s passion for mentoring and training is evident in his commitment to helping people thrive and succeed within the company. His approachable nature, combined with his firm but fair leadership style, makes him a trusted leader. His dedication to the company’s growth and development is a testament to his leadership qualities.
Outside of work, Tony is an avid sports fan. He especially enjoys horse racing, football, and Formula 1, and is a lifelong supporter of Arsenal FC.
Paul Michaelson
Construction Director
Paul co-founded Eden Facades in March 2011 and remains both Co-owner and Construction Director. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, his career began on the tools before progressing to site management. Paul brings a wealth of hands-on experience and leadership to the business.
Specialising in External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems, rainscreen cladding (including brick slips), and Steel Framing Systems (SFS), Paul oversees the successful delivery of projects across London and the South East. With a background in large-scale projects across multiple sectors, Paul has delivered notable schemes, including West End Gate in Paddington and Green Park Village. His practical approach and problem-solving mindset ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Paul holds industry-recognised qualifications, including SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and NVQ Level 7 in Construction Site Management, underlining his commitment to professionalism and safe working practices.
Outside of work, Paul is a keen sports enthusiast who enjoys cycling, golf, and football, and he spends much of his free time with his family. His balance of technical knowledge, leadership, and down-to-earth approach continues to shape Eden Facades’ reputation as a trusted and forward-thinking specialist contractor.
Matthew Green
Operations Manager
Matt joined Eden Facades in 2015, bringing with him decades of hands-on construction experience. Beginning his career as a bricklayer, he went on to work in main contracting and façades with Repex Ltd before moving into operations management. Over his 40-year career, Matt has developed expertise across a wide range of façade systems, including brickwork, rainscreen cladding, External Wall Insulation (EWI), Steel Framing System (SFS), and windows.
As Operations Manager, Matt enjoys the variety his role brings, from managing complex projects to working with different products and systems. Known for his leadership, knowledge, and reliability, he plays a key role in supporting project delivery and guiding teams on-site. His portfolio includes a mix of high-profile and technically challenging projects, with recent highlights including the Riverside Leisure Centre in Chelmsford, West End Gate in London, the Runnymede Hotel at Heathrow, Town Square in Stratford-upon-Avon, and Ipswich Town FC.
Qualified with an NVQ in Construction, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme), IPAF (International Powered Access Federation), and CPDs in various rainscreen cladding systems, Matt combines practical expertise with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, spending time with his family, travelling, attending live music events, gardening, and working on DIY projects.
Dave Pankhurst
Commercial Manager
With a career spanning over 27 years in the construction industry, Dave joined Eden Facades in 2015. His expertise, spanning over two decades, lies in façades, with a deep understanding of Steel Framing Systems (SFS), rainscreen cladding, External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems, and brick slip systems. His qualifications include a Higher National Certificate in Quantity Surveying and an NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision, further solidifying his knowledge and skills.
He began his career on the Millennium Dome project in 1998 and has since worked on a wide range of landmark schemes, including Brighton FC’s stadium, Colchester Hospital, The Roundhouse in London, and Crossrail. His leadership has been instrumental in the successful completion of these projects, and his supportive approach has fostered a collaborative work environment. Dave enjoys the variety and challenges of the industry and takes pride in sharing his knowledge with colleagues.
Outside of work, he values spending time with his family and enjoys travelling from time to time.
Carl Norman
Estimating Manager
Carl began his career in construction at 18, working on-site as a labourer before gaining hands-on experience in groundworks, plastering, and demolition. In 2016, he joined Eden Facades as a trainee Estimator, where he spent two years learning the role and developing his expertise in façades. Before rejoining Eden Facades in 2024 as Estimating Manager, he worked on large-scale projects that helped broaden his skills and technical knowledge.
Since working on façade projects, Carl has worked across a wide range of façade systems, including Steel Framing System (SFS), External Wall Insulation (EWI), rainscreen cladding, windows, doors, and curtain walling. His portfolio includes major projects such as the £34m student accommodation development at the University of Sussex, Ipswich Town FC, and a large window package at Oaklands Rise in London.
Carl enjoys the fast-paced nature of his role, particularly in negotiating projects, building strong relationships with clients, and solving problems. He is motivated by the opportunity to secure new work and play a key role in creating a successful team.
Outside of work, Carl enjoys spending time with his family, playing football, and keeping active through the gym, CrossFit, and competing in Hyrox challenges.

Pauline Surridge
Finance Manager
Pauline joined Eden Facades in 2015, bringing with her extensive experience in construction finance. She began her career in 2001 with a façades company, where she spent 14 years in finance and administration, steadily building her knowledge as the company expanded. With many years of experience in the industry, she now manages all aspects of Eden Facades financial operations, including invoicing and payments, as well as meeting deadlines and guiding her team.
Over the last decade, Pauline has played a key role in Eden Facades’ growth. By mentoring new staff, streamlining financial processes, and leading with accuracy and attention to detail, she has helped strengthen the business’s foundations and support its continued success.
Pauline is a qualified professional, having achieved AAT Level 4. Her reliability, knowledge, and leadership within the team are widely recognised and respected.
Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, theatre trips, watching movies, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
