Recent contracts secured – January 2023

Our reputation for attention to detail and consistent delivery of high-quality results for our clients has resulted in a busy order book! The office is buzzing with energy as we work on exciting projects across the country, thanks to our hard-working team, who demonstrate their knowledge, reliability, and excellent client/contractor communications every day.

One thing is true for hard work and professionalism: it builds a solid reputation. These new contracts are a sign that we’re known for the good work we do and that we can liaise well with the stakeholders we are involved with.

That said, we don’t rest on our laurels. We must make sure these future projects are completed to a high standard so that we can continue to create a legacy for excellence.

We’re always looking to lend our professional expertise, and our team looks forward to working on further projects in the future. Below we’ve outlined just a few of the projects that we’ll be working on in the coming months.

Pembroke College, Cambridge

Main contractor: Cocksedge Building Contractors.

Products: SFS System by Drywall Steel Sections; Stainless Steel Brick Tie Channels by Ancon.

Scope of work: In our first project for Cocksedge Building Contractors, we are proud to be working on these beautiful student accommodation buildings. Our work at Pembroke College involved the construction of the SFS walls together with sheathing, insulation and brick ties.

Sub-contract value: £300k – £400k.

When: Winter 2022 – Spring 2023.

Croydon Road, Caterham

Main contractor: Thomas Sinden Construction.

Products: Metalline TF Rainscreen Cladding System; Rockwool Insulation; Effisus Breather Membrane; Siderise Fire Barriers.

Scope of work: Having worked with Thomas Sinden Construction previously on work at the Charter Court project in Hemel Hempstead, we were delighted to team up with them again to do another job together. Rainscreen cladding was added to the walls of these new build apartments in Caterham that feature ground-floor commercial units and basement parking.

Sub-contract value: £750k – £1m.

When: Winter 2022 – Spring 2023.

RAF Feltwell, Suffolk

Main contractor: Kier Construction.

Products: Weber Acrylic Render on Aquapanel Sheathing Boards.

Scope of work: Having worked with Kier Construction on a variety of projects over the years, we’re looking forward to working with their team again at RAF Feltwell in Suffolk. The Weber Acrylic Render specified for this project is ideal for harsh or exposed conditions, and provides a durable and resilient thin coat render that will perform well in all weathers.

Sub-contract value: £100k – £200k.

When: Winter 2022 – Spring 2023.

Rosebank Buildings, Acton

Main contractor: United Living.

Products: Ash & Lacy Natural X Brick Slip System (supplied by Aquarian Cladding); Rockwool Insulation and Fire Barriers; associated aluminium trims and flashings.

Scope of work: Facade replacement works on a high-rise residential block in Acton. We’ve worked with United Living before on several great projects, including Renaissance and Baroque Court and Iveagh Court – both stunningly renovated. We’re delighted that we’ll be working with the team at United Living again. Our scope for this project is to install a brick slip rainscreen cladding system with ancillary trims and flashings, insulation, and fire barriers.

Sub-contract value: £2.5m – £3m.

When: Spring 2023 – Autumn 2023.

Orbis Energy, Lowestoft

Main contractor: R G Carter.

Products: Swiss Pearl Cladding; Rockwool Insulation.

Scope of work: Another exciting project with RG Carter! This time we are working together to deliver cladding remediation at a seafront office building in Suffolk, where the existing Trespa cladding had failed due to an incorrect installation by another firm. Situated on Wilde Street, Lowestoft, this office for Orbis Energy is a very modern, striking building complemented by a giant wind turbine on its doorstep – talk about a unique development! It’s a pleasure to work on such a distinctive complex and deliver yet further improvements that will stand the test of time.

Sub-contract value: £400k – £500k.

When: Summer – Autumn 2022.
