Recent contracts secured – October 2023

Times are tough for UK plc, but Eden Facades has managed to keep the order book full, with some exciting new projects. We’re very happy to be working with both new and familiar partners. As we often say, the best endorsement you can get is to be asked to take on new work with a satisfied client.

Our goal for each project is to deliver an outstanding result for our clients and build on our reputation for friendly and flexible hard-working professionalism.

Bamburgh Close, Reading

Main contractor: Morris & Blunt.

Products: Permarock mineral fibre insulated render system.

Scope of work: On this project, we were asked to upgrade an existing, brick built, low-rise residential block with external wall insulation. We have worked with Morris & Blunt many times over the years, and are excited to do so again. Whatever the size of the challenge, we’re always happy to reunite with longstanding partners.

Treadgold House, London

Scope of work: United Living are another partner we’re proud to have worked with many times, so we were pleased to be asked to work with them again on this major refurbishment project. Treadgold House is a 5-storey residential block on Grenfell Road, just 100 yards from Grenfell Tower, so we can be sure there will be plenty of scrutiny of our work, but we are proud of our consistently high standards, and welcome any new challenge. Our work is needed to increase the energy efficiency category of the building, and will involve installing an insulation and brick slip system.

Subcontract value: £2m – £2.5m.

Scope of work: The Dame Clare Marx building will be a new £64 million state-of-the-art addition to Colchester Hospital, and will house the orthopaedic centre. Challenges here will include installing the rainscreen cladding and other systems in a busy, working hospital with limited space available.

Subcontract value: £2m – £2.5m.

Broomfield Care Home, Chelmsford

Main contractor: R G Carter.

Products: Existing sheathing board removed and replaced with A1 rated Y Wall, Metsec SFS used to create new building entrance, Wetherby insulated brick slip and insulated render systems.

Scope of work: We have been appointed to join this refurbishment of an existing hospital building, creating a new care home. Only the highest standards will be acceptable, as the new facility is described as a luxury care home, featuring a roof terrace, spa and hydrotherapy pool.
